SNNU Guidance of Registration for International Students
Financial Preparation
1. Self-Supported Students
l Tuition and Accommodation
l Insurance: RMB400 yuan half a year, RMB800 yuan
l Living Expense: The estimated average living expense per month is RMB3000yuan per person
l Visa Extension Fee: RMB400 yuan for visa extension within a year
l Physical Examination: RMB415 yuan
2. Exchange Students are not supposed to pay tuition. The other fees are the same as the self-supported students.
How to Arrive
Airport
1. Shuttle Bus: About one hour away from the downtown area. The ticket is 26yuan. It will cost around 15 yuan to take a taxi to our university after getting off the shuttle bus.
2. Take the shuttle bus to the Cheng Nan Coach Station, and then take No.408 Bus to Wu Jia Fen stop.
3. Take the shuttle bus to Xi’an Hotel, and then take Bus No.600, 616, 215,239 or 323 to Wu Jia Fen stop.
4. Take a taxi from the airport. It may need about 1 hour and around RMB 150yuan.
Xi’an North High-speed Rail Station:
Take subway line 2 (Wei Qu Nan South Direction) and get off from the Exit D. Walk northward about 400 meters.
Xi’an Railway Station：
1. Take No. 603 Bus at the opposite side of exit of Railway Station and get off at the Wu Jia Fen stop
2、Walk southward about 650 meters out of the exit and take subway Line 1 (Hou Wei Zhai Direction) and transfer to subway Line 2 (Wei Qu Nan directioin) at the Bei Da Jie station and get off from the Exit D. Walk northward about 400 meters.

1. Time: From January 25 to 29, 2015

→Admission Notice
→JW201/202 Form
→Passport
→2 Copies of passport photo page and current visa page with entry stamp
→Three 2.5×3.5cmsize photos，5 passport photos (4 of them are for physical examination)
→Diploma (only for degree program students)
Students should register during the required time period. Don’t come to register one week earlier before the required time. Students who cannot register at the required time period should email to leonard_huang@snnu.edu.cn to explain the reason for overdue registration. Students who don’t register 2 weeks after the required time period without any notice will be regarded as voluntary dropout.
Visa Extension after arrival
A.
X1 visa holder must apply Residence Permit within 30 days after the entry of China in Xi’an Police Station.
Documents Needed:
l Copies of passport photo page and visa page
l One passport photo and two 2.5*3.5cmphotos
l JW202 or JW201Form
l Physical Examination Result Report issued in Xi’an (check detailed information below)
l Registration Form of Temporary Residence (check detailed information below)
l Visa Application Form and Official Letter issued by SNNU
l Copy of tuition receipt
l Registration form of overseas citizens residence
Health Examination: Students who need transfer their visa type or apply residence permit should go to “Shaanxi International Travel Health Care Center”for medical examination. Students who have done this before come to China should also go to this place for verification.
l Examination Fee: RMB334;
l Four 2 inch photos (3.5x4cm);
l One photocopy of passport
l Monday to Friday morning without breakfast
l Students can get the result 3 work days after in the afternoon.

Temporary Residence Registration:
Students who live outside campus with renting an apartment should go to the local police station to get the temporary residence registration form within 3 days after move-in.
The documents needed are:
l Passport
l The landlord ID
l Lease contract
Students who live on campus or the hotel with qualification of receive international guests can get the temporary residence registration form at our office or the hotel reception.
B.
Students who already have the study residence permit should have it extended 10 days before expiration.

l Copies of passport photo page and visa page
l One passport photo
l JW202 or JW201Form
l Registration Form of Temporary Residence
l Visa Application Form and Official Letter issued by SNNU
l Copy of tuition receipt
★Tips:
Students should get all the set of documents stated above from the International Student Office and submit them on the second floor of Visa office in the Entry and Exit Department of Xi’an Police Station. The visa officer will give a notice to the student which is used to pay the fees downstairs at the payment reception. After the payment, students should go back to the second floor and submit the receipt. About in 3 weeks, students can go to fetch their passports with the notice given by the visa officer.

Notes:
l The living duration on campus starts from February 20 to July 15 (5 months) in spring semester and August 20 to January 15 (5 months)
l In principle, students are not accepted to apply for campus accommodation one month after the beginning of a semester. But in special cases, students can apply after the discussion of ISO (International Student Office) and they should live on campus no less than 3 months.
l Students who apply to live in the Tian Tan Xuan Dormitory and No.1 International Students Dormitory should pay the fees including the deposit within 10 days after they move in. 5% of the total fees will be charged as overdue fine if students pay the fees later than 10 days. Students who apply for accommodation refund within one month after move in will be charged for 2 months. (Calculation: one semester fee/5*2; Refund application happens after one month will not be accepted, no matter how much they’ve paid, one semester or one year.)
l Students who finish the study in our university must move out in a required time period and are not allowed to live on campus in holidays.
l Students who will continue study here next semester can apply to live on campus in holidays. But they need fill up an application form at ISO before July 1st or January 1st in each semester.
Accommodation outside campus
Students can also rent an apartment outside campus. But registration for temporary residence at the local police station will be required within 3 days after move in. Documents needed are passport and one copy, lease contract and the landlord ID.
Notes: Please keep the Registration Form of Temporary Residence well in order to apply for Residence Permit. If students who change the address, they should tell the ISO and get a new Registration Form of Temporary Residence at the new local police station within 10 days after they move.
