X1 visa holder must apply Residence Permit within 30 days after the entry of China in Xi’an Police Station.

Health Examination: Students who need transfer their visa type or apply residence permit should go to “Shaanxi International Travel Health Care Center”for medical examination. Students who have done this before come to China should also go to this place for verification.
Examination Fee: RMB415;
Four 2 inch photos (3.5x4cm);
One photocopy of passport
Monday to Friday morning without breakfast
Students can get the result 3 work days after in the afternoon.

Temporary Residence Registration:
Students who live outside campus with renting an apartment should go to the local police station to get the temporary residence registration form within 24 hours after move-in.
The documents needed are:
Passport
The landlord ID
Lease contract
Students who live on campus or the hotel with qualification of receive international guests can get the temporary residence registration form at our office or the hotel reception.

Students who already have the study residence permit should have it extended 10 days before expiration.

★Tips:
Students should get all the set of documents stated above from the International Student Office and submit them on the second floor of Visa office in the Entry and Exit Department of Xi’an Police Station. The visa officer will give a notice to the students which is used to pay the fees downstairs at the payment reception. After the payment, students should go back to the second floor and submit the receipt. About in 3 weeks, students can go to fetch their passports with the notice given by the visa officer.
